The Jogjakarta and Central Java earthquake has aroused the sympathy from many countries, organizations/institutions both from Indonesia and abroad. Dovechem Group, with its “Caring For All” mission also took this opportunity to offer assistance to the earthquake victims by organizing a Donation Drive within the Group. The funds were handed over to the victims at three different locations in Jogjakarta and Central Java area.
A total amount of Rp 29.480.000 was collected from the Donation Drive. The amount collected was then allocated to buy 440 packs of daily necessities for the victims. Each pack consisted of : 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 liter of fried oil, 10 boxes of instant noodle and 400 gram of instant milk.
The 440 donation packs were then distributed to earthquake victims at Nglampar village, Nglegi village in Gunung Kidul region and Semuten village in Bantul region on August 5, 2006.
Representing Dovechem Group of Companies were Mr Odang Wahyudi, Mr S.E.Ginting , Mr Bambang Sumarno and several Dovechem Indonesia staff who were present to meet and hand over the donations to the earthquake victims .
